DAY 611 Cognitive Skills

To be honest, I don't know where and how to start. Things have been moving fast around here.

I used to joke that with Fey, her actual (brain) age is her Earth's age times 3. So, today her actual (brain) age just turned 5! 

Her cognitive skills are beyond imagination and her communication skill is stellar. For example, today I asked if she wanted to go out. She immediately said "Go see Grandma Jid!" 

It was only 20th December morning that they met for the first time for a good breakfast by the pool followed by a play in Granny's room at Sivatel Hotel next to our condo. Grandma Jid gave her a big World Map ball with animals on each region. She recognised so many animals across the globe. Definitely over 10 names. Probably 20 on the map. That was impressive as the animals were drawn differently from what she used to see. So, she must get the essence of them.

I recognised this capability of hers since very young age when she started to say "car" while pointing at a real car. She connected 2D with 3D which theoretically should happen far beyond her age.

This happened repeated when we visited ArKong ArMa one weekend after she learned about car from books. That day, she only started to walk. Yet, she walked for almost a kilometre over 40 minute, non-stop! And she kept pointing at and saying "car" whenever we passed a house with cars parking inside.

Fey conversed. 

She takes time to process and then responds. Sometimes she can give an instant answer while sometimes she ponders a while. 

The other day, I showed her my photo from year 2021 amd asked who that was. She was speechless, as in, could not recognise me. I waited. There was an awkward moment, then she said "there are flowers."
